I would like to take a moment to illustrate the fall of the dollar. A year ago the dollar traded against the peso at 12.50 per 1 USD. Today it is 11.68 per 1 USD. Mexicans are calling it the superpeso. Most don't realize this is bad for their exports and jobs. For decades Mexicans traded their pesos into USD because it appreciated. Now the Mexican government has announced a large purchase of USD because they are cheaper. I think most would agree that they should have bought gold or silver like other countries have.

A year ago I sold a condo in Mexico and transferred the funds here. Had I waited I could have earned interest there and about an 8% gain in the exchange. A year ago I didn't imagine the loss in the value of the USD.

If you bought silver with the cash from the condo last year you are up around 150%!
