This past summer, Discovery Channel cameras rolled as the world’s best-known deep-sea recovery team, Odyssey Marine Exploration (OME), successfully recovered approximately 48 tons of silver bullion from the SS Gairsoppa – making it the deepest and heaviest cargo recovery in history.
SILVER RUSH, a new three-part series narrated by Mike Rowe, tells the story of one of the greatest deep-sea treasure quests of all time. The series will take viewers on board Odyssey’s flagship, the Odyssey Explorer, as it launches its most audacious operation ever — locate and excavate three shipwrecks worth as much as a billion dollars all in one season. But will they be able to complete the entire recovery effort in just 90 days before punishing storms roll in?

“Our team successfully accomplished the record-breaking recovery of 48 tons of silver bullion – the heaviest and deepest recovery of precious metals in history.“

How long does it take Spain to sell it to China?
oh snap! there will soon be even more of a surplus of silver causing a rational price plummet lmao!
Pretty interesting watched it last night thanks to my Brother Dan (427)
Indeed so, Charlie. I watched it too… fascinating program with all the tech and mechanical wizardry they have at their command. Too bad that they do not have a large submarine vessel from which to work so they would not have to worry about what the weather was on the surface.
The stacks and stacks of BIG silver bars they recovered was mind-blowing. I kept thinking what that would look like if it was all converted into ASEs or Maples. YIKES!!
You know it is really sick you see how these corrupt punks! Prop up the dollar. This thing is so fricken rigged its pathetic. The DJ is rigged and artificially inflated and there are so many people who believe this bullshit..
Take heart from the fact that we are not in their shoes and being corrupt or stupid. Satisfaction can be… priceless. ;-)
Wonder if they sell that as bullion or shipwreck silver?
