Lot of talk around these 2013 designs as being the first 3 panda design in the Panda’s almost 20 year history. They look amazing as all pandas do.

3 is a lucky number in Chinese, maybe they think they will get lucky and end up owning most of the USA.
…Or get lucky and break the comex market themselves.
As I understand it the Chinese have been buying lots of silver with their fiat cash. Nice coin, NP sending them some fiat dollars and buying it back!
The chinese can go and suck on a thick bamboo stick as far as I am concerned. I am not going to bow down and pay homage to them by purchasing their coins.
As a practical side-thought, suppose that after TSHTF you try to sell (or barter) part of your stack of chinese silver. The buyer will be a LOT more suspicious they are chinese fakes, vs. if instead you had a stack of circulated US Silver coins. Think about that before paying homage to the chinese.
Here’s a Panda Silver coin that speaks the truth!

@Mammoth – During a collapse scenario of course it’s going to be hard to tell if any coin is genuinely real… What, they don’t/won’t make fake American Silver Eagles? The point is after that scenario plays out an ounce of silver will be an ounce of silver at great and true market value but with the Pandas, ASE’s and Kookaburras they will always sell at a premium for the rarity. I only buy maybe 4-5 of each year of Panda as more of a coin collecting mindset for each year. The rest of the year I am stacking 90% and ASE U.S. Govt. silver.
I really felt your post was somewhat dismissive and antagonistic at the same time. Maybe I misread, because drama is the last thing I want anywhere. But I am sure if we looked through your home how many dollars you have spent support chinese made gear. SO to say I Am bowing down to these chinese or paying homage is honestly imo ridiculous.
If anything America is more messed up than China and is definitely more involved in the NWO destroying our freedoms so it seems the whole argument is moot. Might as well just buy blank silver rounds that look like washers. huh?

@Orion, yes my comment may be antagonistic BUT it was not an attempt towards racism nor trolling. Having said that, china is NOT America’s friend and I make it a point to avoid giving them my financial support. Unfortunately since I recently needed new work boots and we decided to give our kid a bicycle for Christmas, the only choice in the stores was to hold our nose and buy ‘made-in-china.’
But when buying Silver, you can’t tell me that you do not have a choice and must buy from the chinese because nobody else makes it.
But the Chinese ARE the only Country’s mint who make the pandas so, yes, I do have to have to purchase from them. Like I said I only buy just a few each year as a coin collector type thing.
Again, you didn’t answer my question of the moral conundrum of owning a Chinese Panda over an American Silver Eagle or 90% “junk” American coins. I own ASE’s over Pandas by a GIGANTIC Margin, but I am not worried about who is or isn’t America’s friend because America is currently the greatest threat to free markets, sound money, to ending the policing of the world, abundable energy, constitutional values and freedom in the entire world. So what I can’t understand honestly is your reasoning for not buying anything that is deemed unAmerican but honestly America and the EU are the ones pushing for technocratic, cashless, one world government we are fighting by buying silver in the first place. If you are here for the paper trades and that kind of thing then I wish you luck but us phyzz stackers we in it for the long run.
Also I never meant to insinuate you couldn’t afford nice things. It’s hard to find anything made in America anymore… My point was not understanding your view of the Panda Coin as some sort of Commie accepting decree. I also buy maple leafs, kookaburras, brittanias, koalas etc. that has an elitist queen but in no way do I declare myself to agree with her monarchy or the principles of the English or any elite family that thinks they own me.
Stick with American Silver Eagles and you will be glad you did. Easy enough to verify as genuine, plus “fakes” would be counterfeiting which is a federal offense. Imitation Pandas are not a crime. The big reason is the taxes. I expect when things really go south, ASE’s will be reclassified as spendable legal tender. Several states are already considering such legislation. That would mean that they would not be subject to capital gains taxes because they would be considered money at that point. Sell your Panda’s for a profit and you’ll owe capital gains tax.
