With a background as a geologist – I find new and exciting information on all types of minerals – I was especially thrilled to note now that Berkeley Lab and OCRF write about ultrathin films of a gold-silicon eutectic alloy, which is ideal for producing nanomaterials : Nanoscale Semiconductors for the Next Generation Solar Cells: Materials with novel, nanoscale structures hold promise as building blocks for cheap, efficient, and durable solar cells that could revolutionize the solar power industry.
Gold could be slowly moving into a whole new industrial field. Of course, I am sure China will be ahead of the game to start producing these – that is probably an added bonus in their investing in more and more physical gold beyond fiat/currency backing.

It is great tricks to play with gold thrilling. But golf thrilling or mining is not so much easy, it is totally depended upon luck, machinery and other things like planning, techniques & preparations.
These things decided who much you will get gold as well as earnings ratio.

Yes, I totally agree with Flaming Mite. Gold thrilling is not an easy task. It requires first luck, then money for investment, then talented brain to run everything properly.

" This is it! It's the end of precious metals' bubble! Silver is now at 20.90$ per ounce and gold at around 1342$ per ounce! Silver got hit very badly after the opening of the market. " Reply To: My Faith in Silver is Just About Broken

" There are many ways to view this one way is insurance, you pay for policies don't you?  I hope my home never get blown away in a storm but if it does I have a policy to cover it.  I like insurance, it's not always cheap but I sleep better at night knowing I have it. " It still cannot be used like "normal" currency. I can't take it to the bank and use it like a 100$ bill. There was a guy who wanted to pay his bills so he tried to exchange a few 20 for 20 coins at his local banks and they won't take it even if it is legal tender. The Royal Canadian Mint told him...
