I wonder often how many girls own and/or hold silver vs. the guys. It would be interesting to know if the girls are ahead of us guys in terms of silver stacking and/or how far behind. Us silver bugs need a girl or two out in public to advance our cause. Take Blythe Masters for example, if the wicked witch could get her duck in a rows, chances are good that she would make out a great advocate of silver in public. She has the looks at least.
Best way to get the girlz interested in PMs is to do it via jewelry. Just about every gal likes that a whole bunch better than coins or bars. There are a precious few gals out there who really do “get it”, though, and they are treasures indeed. :-)
Ed_B I’ve coined your comment. They are indeed treasures.
I’ve read a story of a girl the other day who stopped buying cosmetics and used the savings to buy silver every month. She had a stack of 500 ounces at that stage and was planning to buy a house and to further her children’s education in the future. She is what I call a gem.
Stack far and high Wisegirlz. Welcome aboard. We could use a female opinion here. Coined you and Ed_B. Ed you suck up! All suave and stuff. LOL. Thanks to all of you for making Wisegirlz a part of a great community.
Welcome to MaryB and wisegirlz! If you’re stacks just getting started you should trying to win a Great Panther ounce or two…looks like only a handful of people are attempting to complete today’s challenge of commenting on every post from today on the main page!
I have been a quiet observer of this excellent site for about two years now, but afraid to put my head above the water as it seemed to be all male ! . . . .nothing wrong with that, I hasten to add, but I have to repond to this “call to arms ” !.
I have been stacking physical silver coins and bars with fiat money from my piano teaching and concerts, and have now accumulated 250 oz silver ( a combination of 250g Umicore bars and 1 oz coins . . .ASE’s, Maples, Brittanias, Philharmonics, Libertads and Pandas), and 2 oz gold, (1/10th oz coins and 2.5g bars).
I never feel that it is enough , I always feel the pressure to add a few more ounces. . . . .is this normal ?! , but I also feel “in my bones ” that times are a-changing ( to quote Mr Dylan ), and that I need to look after my family the best way I can.
It feels very scary to lauch myself into your cyberspace !, but we are all in this together and I have a good feeling about you guys !
BTW, Arian is Welsh for Silver, and also is Welsh for Money ! . . . . . . . . . . . . .
" There goes the idea that I could get in cheaply! I knew that was too easy.
Would I be able to contact anyone worldwide? That was my thought going with this idea in the first place. What's the point in buying one if it doesn't go worldwide? I thought they all had global abilities. I may ha... "Reply To: Ham radio
" I have thought about this. If it is not in the US, it is a risk IMO.
Even in the US, it could still be seized in a bank holiday. hard to say

" Silver Dollar - if I cash out now I cannot buy silver in Ecuador for anywhere near this ridiculously low price. Its just that I have been concerned that when things collapse all I will be able to get over here is the cash. And I have to worry if some government will steal all funds in goldmoney.

" Store a radio in a steel container, make sure to bubble wrap it for insulation. Stick it in the attic, garage, wherever as a spare in case of confiscation. I have an old Drake tube rig I am restoring that will be mostly EMP proof "Reply To: Ham radio
" Nice Shootin' TEX!
I am thinking avoid the ASE's (I have some) as they are prolly tracked by Big Bro... at least the bulk purchases, as I started out with. But that went down in Lake Monroe, stupid of me to take the stack with me on vacation! You are best off buying with cash, and junk is usua... "Reply To: EBAY: ASE's at 40% PREMIUM
Call it a Petit Mal, mild stroke, or just a temporary lapse of sanity, but I went against my junk coin roots last night. Earlier, I had stated my preference for junk. This remains true to this day, but last night I purchase some silver from Apmex that in no way can be considered junk:

" I feel ya Mary. My average buying cost is around $30....Although as you said, I still believe in all the fundamentals, and where silver SHOULD be, its hard not to get discouraged at WHERE IT ACTUALLY IS!
