James Turk: Fear Index Means Gold Bull Rally Has Much Further to Run

James Turk talks to GoldSeek’s Chris Waltzek about his work on the fear index, which Turk states is currently only 10% of the peak reached in the 1930′s.  Turk states he expects the fear index to continue escalating as the banking/debt crisis accelerates, meaning gold’s bull market has much further to run.

  1. I think people do not have enough fear yet   With $ 5 trillion in extra spending supporting the lowest eschelon of this country’s people, the real fear of economic collapse has not yet hit home.  Greeks now see it as do the Spanish and it’s way to late for them.
We are not there yet  The wiser buyers like China, Russia, Indonesia, and others are taking advantage of these bargain prices. When the fear factor really hits, little PMs will be available at any reasonable price.

    • “When the fear factor really hits, little PMs will be available at any reasonable price.”

And at that stage of the collapse, it will be the perfect time to sell a few ounces to pay off any remaining debt you may have.

  2. Max Kaiser had a great analogy the other day.  Water(markets) can absorb a lot of heat, but their comes a point that 1* more causes a phase change(from liquid to steam) from stabile to unstable.

  3. This ‘fear factor’ is something of a ‘double edged sword’, whereby the elites can ALSO use it as a gauge to time their ‘events’ on the cusp of its turning, so as to catch an optimum number of people still unawares, while concurrently extending their established programs to their furthest viability.

Still, the relentless math underlying the banknote scheme delimits a time-table of its own that will so hyper-inflate currencies and magnify their coincident interest service burden that the two factors will need to be ‘geared’ together.

Given that the former is in a rough mid-point of unfolding, while the latter has advanced to a precipitous degree (along with myriad other ‘signs’), I’m still left with the conclusion that the ‘event’ is quite near at hand.

  4. If this is only 10% of the fear factor, I am in trouble.  I thought I already had an overabundance of fear. I already feel like I am in the tank of worms with Tyrone Biggums.
