Obama to Put “Full Weight” Behind Senator Feinstein’s Gun Confiscation Plan

On December 17th, we warned SD readers that Senator Feinstein was drafting the most draconian anti-2nd amendment legislation imaginable, and that the Obama administration had its sights set on instigating the 2nd American Revolution by going after 100 million Americans’ guns.
Der Führer in Chief was on Meet the Press Sunday, and to no surprise, Obama stated he is putting his full weight behind Feinstein’s bill, which criminalizes the possession, use, and sale of nearly all guns.
Obama stated that “I’m going to be putting forward a package and I’m going to be putting my full weight behind it…
I’m going to be making an argument to the American people about why this is important and why we have to do everything we can to make sure that something like what happened at Sandy Hook Elementary does not happen again.

  1. “Liberty, once lost, is lost forever”

  2. I support a ban on all pencils, especially the ones that wrote down the wrong answers on my college exams. There should also be a ban all alcoholic beverages that have resulted in the death of 1,000s of Americans. Plus, there should be a ban on krispy creme donuts for the excess weight caused by those who consume them.

    • It wasn’t the alcohol that killed people, it was the cars they were driving.

    • You again? What is it with you? Are you a 7th grade English teacher? or just a 7th grader?

    • You are so full of hate and ignorance you are having problems recognizing sarcasm that is not even directed at you? What I said was in the same context of what you said. My education level is way above yours unless you have more than two University degrees, know more than three languages and are professionally proficient on more than five musical instruments. You need to chill out and find harmony with the universe before it buries you in your hate.

    • It is hard to recognize sarcasm from someone who has taken issues with you in the past more than once. This is not the first time you have responded to a statement of mine that had NOTHING to do with you. No one else said a word, but sure enough as soon as you see “snowrider” here you come. An opening statement of good will would have been a good beginning, especially since your past responses toward me have been at times tasteless personal opinion. However, true to form here comes a new set of accusations from you. “I am filled with hate.” Seriously? Because you do not clarify your response, especially since in the past you have criticized me more than once. I do not know you well enough to have hate for you. I consider “hate” a very strong word in which I do not throw around indiscriminately at anyone. I do not know how you communicate with others, but when it comes to me your hyperbole recognizes no limit. Right now, all you are to me is words on a white background. Your arrogance over your self-exalted education is quite amusing. You have no idea who you are talking to, but if it makes you feel better, knock yourself out. Harmony with the universe??? Really? Now you are a Zen Master? Your judgmental attitude and condescending remarks toward me have been totally uncalled for. Have you ever practiced the golden rule? Intelligent conversation seems to escape you. Friendship, or even kindness dwells nowhere near your mind. When I mentioned a 7th grade English teacher, it was in reference to mine, a lady who lived to correct everyone. Finally, not one time have I responded to anything you have written. I have only responded to your posts designed to correct or question what I have written. I have no hate for you, but you are making it easy for me to not like you. I feel sorry for you. You have no communication skills outside of correcting or condemning others. Maybe it is that high-powered education you have that has made you this way.

Me desculpe por usar um teclado em ingles.

    • Copy and pasting from the Internet doesn’t count for knowing a foreign language. Actually, I was trying to be nice and civil to you for once, not that you deserve it. But you won;t have it, right? How about something you probably won’t understand, so I suggest you do a seach: Leck mich am Arsch!

    • I have studied Portuguese now going on eight years and I have never met anyone as arrogant as you. Your self described schooling has made you educated enough to be as dumb as a rock. We who actually have degrees after our name can only provide the evidence that we have been educated, but that does not prove that a educated person is smart. How we use the knowledge attained will determine whether we have the wisdom to go along with what we have earned through study. You are so naive that you think courage is placing a NRA bumper sticker on your car. Don’t you dare talk about courage again unless you know what it is like to carry a M-1 in the jungles of Vietnam while your carrying out a wounded soldier. Courage is when the doctor says your mother is gone and all is left is her body. Then YOU have to make the decision to pull the plug. Courage is when you face the truth and can admit you have missed the mark. As pertaining to nice; you have not one time shown that nice remotely dwells in your heart. Noticed that you said; “you tried” to be nice. Nice is not your nature girl. You can’t change a leopard’s spots, or the skin of an Ethiopian. Likewise, you are what you are: a self-righteous, self serving, egotistical all knowing loon. You constantly talk down to people as though your kin to the Arian Nation. So, you go ahead and paint yourself in whatever color you like with your keyboard with words like a prodigy, a linguist, a scholar or what other titles you want to use to define your hypocritical life, but one fact you can’t change little girl and that is the color of your soul —BLACK AS HELL!! I finally get it, you love this kind of banter. It defines who you are. Your self image is so marred that your self worth is based upon how many people you can step on, or over. But for me, I have had enough. I will never address another comment from you again. Only true repentance on your part would cause me to possibly speak to you again. Unfortunately for you, your arrogance will not allow that. Live long and prosper!

  3. Those who give up freedom in the name of security deserve neither.

Can you say civil war? Gun owners are not going to roll over and play nice.

    • If they come to my place and ask for my gun, I may just give them one to make them happy. With a cross bow or a knife, I can take theirs and have a much better quality weapon than the SN special I will be giving them. A girl in a dress has a much better chance of doing this than a man dressed in commando evening attire.

    • Especially with those painted toenails!

    • With matching silver tipped cross bow bolts and wearing a silver cross. Works on all blood suckers.

    • Right between the eyes.

    • When will we realize that the second amendment has nothing to do with deer hunting?

    • @snowrider, probably after you educate everyone with your vast intelligence. I propose that most here understand it better than you.

    • Here is another example of your continued insults. I make a rational statement and here you come again. You must be one sick human being.

    • Actually snowrider, you are the main one I am going to be insulting for now on. I welcome your feeble attempts and marvel at your persistence. Let me know when you attempt another rational statement, I am having trouble recognizing them.

  4. I envision another Clinton type of legislation getting passed but in 2014 (next round of elections) the U.S. will once again CLEAN HOUSE with the Democratic party.  Everything from the local city mayor and county judges all the way up to the senators and governors will pay a dear price whether they were involved or not. People simply won’t care!

I’m sure the Repubs are smiling ear-to-ear just waiting for the Democrats to push this knowing what will happen in 2014.

    • Maybe.  But once the 2nd Amendment is gutted and left for dead, what is to stop them from eliminating all of the others?
Voting?  We don’t need no steenking voting!  We all be congress critters and prezidents for life now… and when we are good and done with these jobs, we gonna pass them on to OUR kids!

    • It would seem the bigger question or answer is what can Joe Q. Public do to make sure the D.C. understands the opposition to this gun bill.  Below are a couple items:

      1. Join the NRA.  Simple and easy at $35.

      2. There are several petitions which are beginning to surface. Just do a google search and you will find them.

    • It takes some guts to join the NRA, it takes a lot of guts to put their sticker on the back window of your pickup. The main reason this is even an issue is because the gutless now have us outnumbered.

  5. My ears on the street say LEO won’t confiscate anything.  This will blow over soon enough.  The problems facing government are so big, the 2nd Amendment is small potatoes.  Let the people keep their guns.  Don’t piss them off too much.  The politicians are up to their necks in major shinola.  No need to upset the people too much with gun grabs. Civil unrest is already a high probability if inflation and food sortages arise in 2013.
The big prizes are IRAs, MMAs, more taxes and whatever else they can steal with legislation.
They will do it with new tax regs, Obamacare,  Executive Orders (like the one BHO signed giving all Federal employees sweet raises) and stealth regulations that act the same as a tax increase.
Guns are a side issue which will fade. Sen Feinstein has much larger agendas.
Not that they will leave this issue alone but for now it will fade after backroom deals trading gun rights for more taxes, laws and regulations.  This is my opinion but it is pretty solidly based on my recent research on the subject.

    • Sorry, Bro, but I have to disagree on this one.  Once they eliminate private US gun ownership, they are within arms reach of that holiest of holy political grails… absolute power.  If they can achieve this, everything else they have ever dreamed about will suddenly become possible.  And why not?  Who could stop them?  I do not for an instant believe that this is a Dem side issue.  I think that it is THE issue and for the above reasons.  Yes, I could be wrong on this one too and I really do hope that I am, but after watching the crooks in DC for 50+ years, I don’t think so.

I am hoping that the US House finally pulls its head out, realizes its true function as a blocking force against any further idiotic Dem ideas, and just says “no”. They do not need to “negotiate” or reach any “bipartisan” agreements. Just say no… and if the Dems do not understand that, just say “HELL NO!”, and then get on with other business. The very last thing we need here is to engage these idiots in a discussion of a piss-poor idea. If 20,000 gun laws have not solved all of the problems associated with citizen gun ownership, WTF is the 20,001st law going to accomplish that the previous 20,000 have not? I repeat. The House Repubs need to just say “no” on this issue and then refuse to take it up. Any end runs by the White House should be met with severe cuts to the appropriate budget items or departments via the Ways and Means committee.

    • I may disagree with both of you. The way I sense this whole thing is that they will use the gun grabbing ticket to intentionally cause a civil war so they can roll out the military takeover and save the “good” folks from the gun wielding terrorists. This is why they have lined up plastic caskets by the millions, staffed FEMA camps and puchased/amassed 1.6 BILLION rounds of ammo in 2012. The repubs will stand together with the dems to enact this legislation as they are really two heads of the same hydra! It is martial law they want and they know how to achieve that end, they have always known. They are playing their globalist end game and it won’t be pretty.

  6. Just because nobama said it straight to your sheeple face does not mean its true……right?

  7. Ed B  My optimism bias kicked in big time.  But there have been many attempts at the gun grab.  I think it will pass to large extent, with some small caveats. A bit of the pie so that Senator F can satify her base with a monor concession that will be watered down in the coming years.  I could be wrong and I’ll take my licks if I am, but there are some authoritative posts recently that incline me to think this will fade in time.  The House of reps has to take this up and many Dem Senators are staunch supporters of the NRA and 2nd Amendment rights.  Keep your fingers crosses
Kind of like what the politicians of both stripe are cooking up to avoid the fiscal cliff.  They won’t avoid it. The cliff and its consequences is much to large to manage and their small ball ‘fixes’ won’t amount to $100 billion in 2013.  The rest of the cliff saga will continue on, hurting the middle and lower class in many ways.
Re the AK  I picked up a SKS paratrooper D model to round out my Russian arms. The D model is my go to depending on how things might shake out.

    • The cliff is just something they invented so it could be used for political unreasoning. I never bought into it to begin with. Everything they are doing is part of their grand plan.

    • No one in Congress has the intelligence to invent anything. That would make them a entrepreneur, instead all they know to do is pass laws to punish the job creators in this country.

    • @snowrider, I figure they have more intelligence than you do, misdirected as it is. It does not make them entrepreneurs. There are multiple uses of many words in the English language. Speaking of English usage, notice that you used singular form when you should have used plural. They are obviously more educated than you. If you are looking to demean me you have a hard row to plow. I have a tractor while you are using a plow. FYI, that was an analogy not to be taken literally, and FYI stands for ‘for your information’, since it seems you need to have these things pointed out.

    • You remind me of the statement: “pride goes before destruction and a haughty spirit before a fall.” Your credentials of arrogance increase every time you type. You continue to validate my conclusions. I am also reminded that those who throw stones generally have nothing to say. That is why a person throws stones. Throwing stones is an analogy for spewing insults. I do not want you to misinterpret what I am writing.

    • Snotryder, you seem to be a lone voice in your opinion of me, and I have read many comments others have made to you regarding you in a negative way. I think if you look in the mirror you will see the problem here. You can answer this by writing a book about it, but you are still an idiot.

    • There are several hear that warned me not to get into it with you because of the way you are. You are much too impressed with yourself. I just happened to be one who would not put up with your crap. My mistake was ever thinking you would listen to reason. So I will now take the advise of those who warned me through private messages about you. Good day!

  8. Citizens need not obey laws that are unjust, immoral, and/or tyrannical.   Never had to and never will.    For that matter, no juror on any jury need find anyone guilty of a noncrime (or “victimless crime” as socioloigists like to call it.)
Gun grab is not gonna happen.   Telling Americans you can’t have guns would be like walking into a biker bar and trying to take away all their motorcycles and they had to stop drinking Big Slurpee size beverages.  Ain’t gonna happen.   Oh wait, they did the last one.   On a personal level, every person I’ve talked to about prospect of a gun grab elicits laughter, scorn, and ridicule.   It’s a good way to get a full productive belly laugh, which is good for your health.   lol
They have a better chance of banning NFL and NASCAR.
Even after all the toxins Americans consume in food, water, and “medicine” they are not that stupid and not pushovers to a bunch of leftist Commie-fascists.
Telling someone they can’t have a gun is like telling a believer they must turn in their Bible and cease religiosity.   It’s absurd.  If the govt wants to piss off the populace I can’t think of a better way, like bailouts for bankers in the tens of trillions, or opening the borders and letting tens of millions have a free ride food, rent, school and healthcare.    Or pass executive orders that supercede the Constitution, or start 5 wars, or use a drone killing fleet, or let the govt turn us into a command and control economy ala USSR…  oh they did or doing all that too already.    What will make Americans stand up and say enough is enough and I won’t adibe this BS anymore!?   If they pass a law that a govt employee gets to come into your house whenever he wants to, eat your food and boink your wife and daughters?

  9. No surprise that Barry wants the guns. It’s what they have been after for a century or more. It won’t be legal until they change the constitution. Gun owners know it, they know it and they know we know it. So why do it? It’s the conflict they want. Can they intimidate enough people to make it stick? I have my doubts. All these people that have been buying guns knowing that the gov. is going to want to take them says something, and they are not saying “let me spend my few dollars left on this rifle so you can take it away” I don’t think.

  10. They gave us the gift of low cost silver, now they want to give us another great opportunity. Buy all the ammo and guns you can under the radar, store them where they can’t be found and soon you will be sitting on another silver mine. This is what I call working with the system. Constitutionally speaking, you would be not be breaking any laws, in fact you would be considered a true patriotic American.

  11. Working the system! Now you’re talking a language that needs to be reintroduced to the average American. I like the way you think Crissy.

  12. It’s seriously time to consider nullification as outlined and defined by our founding fathers before a more “unpeaceful” resolution ensues.
    http://tenthamendmentcenter.com/the-10th-amendment-movement/

I bet if you took a survey, most Americans would think that authority of our National goverment is structured this way:
    1.> Federal(unlimited power)
2.> State (Federal supercedes states rights)
3.> Individual(if rights are not expressly defined–you don’t have it)

However, this is the structure intended by our founding fathers:
1.> Individual(rights are a given–expressly defined rights are for emphasis only)
2.> State(Yes, states rights supercede the Federal)
    3.> Federal(expressly limited powers)
Until we get back to our constitution we’re in big trouble. But most 9-5er’s don’t seem to care.
    p.s.
When the Federal goverment uses the interstate trade and commerce laws to regulate what you can grow in your own back yard(tomatos, potatoes, or whatever)–you know your in trouble…

  13. One more thing.  In the realm of alternate weapons, the common flare gun, 26.5 mm European type, can be equipped with a legal, no BATF check insert that converts it to a 12, 20 or 410/45/45LC gauge single shot hand cannon.
A flare gun is a vital item for those who have boats, living in the country, trek in wildnerness or like to have a decent signalling device.  Thus equipped, a flare gun is a formidable weapon, either with a white hot flare, 45 cal or a 12 gauge 00 load.  These can be purchased on cheaperthandirt.com

  14. reality is if the people in power know that they are struggling to stop everything fall over … then they know 150 million armed very pissed citizens are going to be mad when they lose everything … guns will be confiscated … they have to be for the elite to maintain control after the collapse

  15. Hegelian dialectic at work. We have already been shown to be, and have by inaction established, that we are serfs by allowing the bail out of TPTF banks with taxpayer funding. Removing our right to self-defense is now academic. I would anticipate that any gun grab will be initiated and carried out via the enforcement of an international “peacekeeping” body.

Remember that the power brokers of this country are internationalists and do not care one bit about the citizens of any particular country. Even to the point of a few nuke strikes in strategic places to keep the serfs in line.

The power brokers will ALWAYS have their exit strategy while we are left sifting through the rubble. After all, we are pretty much used up so it’s time to start covering up.

  16. Anti-Gun Senator Shoots Intruder
    State Senator R.C. Soles (D – NC)

Long time Anti-Gun Advocate State Senator R.C. Soles, 74, shot one of two intruders at his home just outside Tabor City , N.C. about 5 p.m. Sunday, the prosecutor for the politician’s home county said.

The intruder, Kyle Blackburn, was taken to a South Carolina hospital, but the injuries were not reported to be life-threatening, according to Rex Gore, district attorney for Columbus, Bladen and Brunswick counties.

The State Bureau of Investigation and Columbus County Sheriff’s Department are investigating the shooting, Gore said. Soles, who was not arrested, declined to discuss the incident Sunday evening.

“I am not in a position to talk to you,” Soles said by telephone. “I’m right in the middle of an investigation.”

The Senator, who has made a career of being against gun ownership for the general public, didn’t hesitate to defend himself with his own gun when he believed he was in immediate danger and he was the victim.

In typical hypocritical liberal fashion, the “Do as I say and not as I do” Anti-Gun Activist Lawmaker picked up his gun and took action in what apparently was a self-defense shooting. Why hypocritical you may ask? It is because his long legislative record shows that the actions that he took to protect his family, his own response to a dangerous life threatening situation, are actions that he feels ordinary citizens should not have if they were faced with an identical situation.

It has prompted some to ask if the Senator believes his life and personal safety is more valuable than yours or mine.

  17. Pat Fields
Is the Senator’s life and personal safety more valuable than ours?  I think you created a self answering question.
From my view point about politicians, more ascerbic that 2012, was outlined in another post.  There are two charateristics that can be said about virtually all politicians.  They are sociopaths and hycrocrits.  They consider themselves superior to the common man and in their minds  their protection is paramount due to this way of thinking.  To them we are tax paying chaff, not worth consideration when push comes to shove.  This is the state we are in  And we on our own when it comes to these vital issues.

  18. To AGXIIK:  I just watched the whole video of Obama at meet the press posted on this page below your article.  I failed to notice where he said he was putting his “full weight” behind Senator Feinstein’s gun confiscation plan.  Is there possibly another article or interview where you might direct me where Obama actually said this?

  19. muck10   this was not my post or article but I will weigh in with my thoughts. In 2008 when IL DUCE was running, I could see past his lies. With some solid research on his background in politics and community service, it was clear that his bead on gun rights was extreme. He made some comments to the effect that he would protect our 2nd Amendment rights.  His methodology was right out of Cloward and Piven and Cass Sunstein.  Nudge and nudge again to bring people to the point where the policies could be implemented without too much pain.  Obamacare is the monster in the hot tub.  Nudge nudge
Once elected his true colors started to come out.  Gun rights were back on the table and now his statements are spot on with his plans of stripping us of our gun rights.  All politicians lie so you can pretty much get their meaning by looking at the opposite of the lie to garner the truth.  But when a politiciana says they plan to take something such as more taxes, guns or freedoms to do what we chose, you can be absolutely sure they mean it.  And then you double what they say are going to take because a politician on his way to steal your possessions is as remorseless and relentless as an avalanche or flood.   Read my lips, no new taxes said Bush Sr.  HAHAHAHA   FDR  we are going to take your gold and give you some FIAT FRNS.  If you don’t turn your gold over to the phyzz Nazis, you go to jail for 10  years
Yep, I believe that when a politician says they are going to take something, believe them.
If you’re not with the politicians when they belly up to the TAKINGS TABLE, you may be assured that you are on the menu. Would you like a salad with your meat pie, sir?
