  • I have heard good things about both PEM and EPZ, but I have not followed either closely in about 18 months.  Great Panther is another slightly larger junior that I have owned previously.

  • Yeah I know what you mean Reddit. Back in late 2005 when gold was only near $500 I spoke to parents/sister/friends etc about inflation and an economic collapse. They pretty much ignored me and thought it could never happen in the greatest country in the world. They had a slight reality check when the markets started going haywire in 2008. Despite my years of educating them they seem to not understand the ramifications of a complete worldwide economic meltdown. My dad is more open about it now adays because he sees that I am taking an active role in buying food, water,gold and silver.  I got my parents to buy some silver but they have gone cold about buying more because of the price suppression since the 5 margin calls in a week went down last year. Anyway I think the only way to get them to listen is to not talk but lead by example. Once they see what you are doing they will follow suit.Hey redditAs a "prepper" you have to be careful in group situations. Some will believe and some will think you are nuts. Those that think you are nuts might try to discredit you in front of the whole clan.  Instead of telling my whole family what I believe and what I'm doing about it.  I spoke quietly to the men first. Especially the ones with children that depend on them. I told my two brothers what I believe and what I'm doing to prepare. Not everything all at once, just the basics at first.I  told them I would share with them my knowledge on the subject. All they have to do is ask.  I started by giving them a couple of web sites to check out so they could do their own recon. They slowly started putting away a few flats of water, then some canned food, then a few more things here and there.   • Prepping can take place individually but having several people, a small group along the line of an infantry squad, is one of the better ways to do this.  Each person brings a specific skill to the group and each person has the back of  other members of the group.  Each person can be assigned a specific goal to teach other how to do what they are skilled doing. Medical and first aid knowledge is vital as is having the skill to live off the land. There is an enormous amount of information on the internet but having it first hand and practising those skills can mean the difference between surviving or not.

  • Does anyone have accurate, real time information about the Fukushima reactor situations I have read that the cooling pond for spent fuel from reactor 4 is posing a threat of collapse and there is about 480 tons of fuel in the pond that could go supercritical.  I have heard pros and cons on that argument.  Input would be appreciated. Living on the west coast of the US makes this an important topic

  • Hey Doc,Just saying thanks for the new site. I've been following you for awhile now...maybe 2 years. I'm catching some lag here but I'm sure it'll wash out as you catch bugs/glitches. I decided to sign up today to log in for big race on the Phyzz Stack Leaderboard.Nothing Personal....I bought a small stack of phys this weekend. Bought at local shop, Haven't been able to find much my way as far as locals go, He only had it because an elderly woman had dropped off a couple hundred rounds to pay for medical bills.Best of Health and Wealth,Thanks Again!Silverbugism

  • Oh man. What a crappy topic.I've actually severed female relationships because they thought I was a "conspiracy theorist," couldn't even get her to pack some granola bars, water, and currency in a backpack for her vehicle. Mocked everyday, So i thought for two people that fundamentally disagree so much, I should just move on. It'll be easier to get by with someone who has better understanding.However,I have had minimal luck with close family members, Although they still think I'm a crazy tinfoil hat wearing crazy folk. Two things I do 1.) Explain how they're slaves and not free, tough to do but effective 2.) Historical references followed up with, better prepared than not.For example in getting through to my father, He was big on his real estate investments that of course took a hit since 2008.   • My problem is, if they do not QE further then this thing goes up in flames in a Deflationary depression that makes the great depression look like a cakewalk.Politicins will be voted out of office in mass. they will lose all power. I just don't see this.They are delaying QE3 as long as possible since this is an election year and the with the price of gas rising, trying to get oil lower. With the credit down rating and the jobs report last Thursday or Friday they know the economy is still in the tank. I would think QE will be announced within the next 3 to 5 weeks.  Summers must have a huge confidence in the dollar and the US economy. That is the only way the bernake does not bring on QE. and actually QE has never stopped. It has been ongoing. Just exactly who is the last buyer of US bonds after China and Japan drastically slow their purchases? The buyer of last resort is the FED.

  • I'm thinking both, most regional breakdowns are still a bit vast so they may need sub groups as well. As the forums expand the members will call for sub categories as needed. Maybe start with vertical time zone lines along with other countries and anticipate adding long horizon lines later. Just my .5g Ag.

  • Summers has no confidence in the strength of the dollar.  He believes that the markets will tank sometime in the near future, maybe in June or in the summer some time.  I think his thinking is somewhat flawed.  He has been wrong in the past of course.  Markets tanking will ensure we get rid of Obummer and I like that.  But, realistically, when we see the markets going down and we get a thousand points lower etc there will be talk of QE to prop them back up.  And, there is no way we can sell enough bonds to finance the US reckless lifestyle.  The Feds will have to continue monetizing this debt at levels that are unprecedented.  Summers obviously believes in a deflationary collapse.

  • Meanwhile, on the Phyzz side is a sign we may be near the bottom.  A peek at the local craigslist ads shows little Silver for sale.  This indicates that few folks out there are willing to part with their Phyzz at current prices. These ads flourish when the price increases.
