Ron Paul Renounces GOP As Keynesians, ‘NOT HIS PARTY’- Independent Run Imminent?

Headlines coming across the wires ahead of Bernanke’s speech indicate Ron Paul has just renounced the GOP, calling the party Keynesians and ‘NOT HIS PARTY‘.

  • *REP. PAUL SAYS BOTH PARTIES KEYNESIANS, GOP ‘NOT HIS PARTY’
  • *REP. PAUL SAYS FED PRICE FIXING
  • *REP. PAUL SAYS FED FLOODING MARKET WITH MONEY

Looks like Mitt Romney will need to do more than talk about a gold standard commission in order to win the votes of Ron Paul supporters.

Could the announcement of a long awaited independent run for President by the Texas Congressman be imminent?

  1. Excellent!!  He has my vote….Like Gerald Celente says,  If you vote for either of the other two candidates

YOU ARE AN ACCOMPLICE TO THE CRIME!!!

  2. New slogan
Clowns to the left of me, jokers to the right, here I am, stuck in Liberty with Paul

  3. Does anybody have a link to a story about this?

  4. Just like TR 100 years ago, he’s there to split the Republican vote and ensure Obama stays in power.  It looks like Romney’s being Mormon and of the upper class (the same class the elites are trying to get people riled up over) aren’t enough to keep him from winning the election.  Now they need RP to split the vote.  This happens all the time and is a very useful tool.  However, it does puzzle me that the big connected money who overwhelmingly supported Obama 3:1 over McCain 4 years ago, is funding Romney.  So my theory is not airtight.  But it’s where I think they’re going on this one.

  5. Talk about a sore loser.  The Republicans were his party when he ran for the Presidency and got the publicity.  The Republicans were his party when it came time for the debates allowing him that national exposure to expound his ideas.

But now that he lost the delegate race, now that he refused to endorse HIS party’s nominee and the RNC refused to let him speak for that reason – the Republicans are not his party.

His son Rand, endorsing Romney, gave a great speech on the floor of the RNC encompassing all the ideas of his father, the Tea Party, and the Libertarians.  Where was daddy?  Off sulking somewhere.

Ron Paul’s time has come and gone and the mantle of individual liberty has passed to his son.

  6. I love Ron Paul and what the man stands for, but if he runs as a third party candidate he will split the republican vote. Similiar to what Ross Perot did in 1992. I strongly dislike both candidates Obama and Romney but I think if we have an economic collapse I would rather have Romney as president. I dont want Ron Paul to be blamed for the coming Economic Collapse event. If Obama is reelected when he finishes his second term I calculate he will be responsible for contributing 11 trillion to our national debt. Obama may even institute martial law. If Romney is president he will still try to appease the masses so he could win reelection. Obama if reelected will have nothing to lose and di whatever he wants.

  7. I can’t believe Ron Paul would be willing to help Obama to remain President. Just like Ross Perot, RP would get just enough votes to get Obama elected. Even Clinton did not get a majority in that election. As much as I like Ron Paul, if this was in his thinking, why didn’t he make this decision 6 months to year ago in order to gain the support to be a serious contender?

  8. You guys still don’t get it do you?  It makes absolutely no difference if Obamney get elected; our fate will be sealed either way.  If you people would stop accepting this two party farce and get behind what you believe in, there is still a chance that Paul could be elected.  I will tell every idiot that thinks I am wasting my vote to get a pair and speak the TRUTH.  He was just trying to play their game and I don’t think he ever really pledged allegience to the gop like all of you assclowns saying we should just say ok, go ahead and give me Romney.  Keep trolling and try to blame Obamney getting elected on Dr. Paul.  Open your narrow eyes and realize that the RNC never followed their own rules and completely hijacked the delegate process.  OUIT CALLING YOURSELVES REPUBLICAN OR CONSERVATIVE-YOU ARE FUCKING AMERICAN CITIZENS AND THAT IS IT!!  I am done with hearing I should just accept this or that and just obey.  Down with all useless politicians and up with freedom.  Have a great weekend you sellouts.

  9. It is clear to me the republican party really never had a position for Ron Paul in the new administration.  He stands for a free market and money as a store of value.  How can the wealthy of any party accept someone like that?  Ron Paul played their game to get his views out to the people and at least got many thinking.  I know he played a roll in my decision making process and I accepted his message.  He would have made an excellent Secretary of Treasury IMHO but that would run against the grain of cheap money and the presses would have to shut down.

I want to vote for him with my whole heart but I’m afraid that would only make the current administration win.  If the republicans have half a brain they would appease Ron’s army by becoming lovers of legitimate money.  Figuring that 10% of the party supports the Paul ticket it is surely enough to do what Ross Perot did much earlier.  The party has to see the financial corruption and ultimate outcome of total collapse.  What will it take to convert the overwhelming greed in the hearts of men and become true freedom fighters as our founding fathers.  The Founders saw the writing on the wall and let’s face it, they too were a bunch of rich guys who despised the unfair taxation by the British government.  The time to strike the forces of evil is now if anyone wants to begin the arduous process of making a financial comeback.

You still don’t get it.  If we don’t all come together for what is right and true NOW, we will be lambs to the slaughter.  Do you really believe you voting for Obomney will save you or your loved ones from these evil that want to take everything from you and keep you under their thumb?  FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, WAKE UP PEOPLE!!!  It will take every single person who is of great moral fiber and integrity to stand up NOW and say NO FING MORE!!!  So, decide today what you really believe in and are you willing to be different from all the other a**clowns and have the courage to speak the truth to whatever idiot starts spewing republican this or democrat that.  I am willing to say f whatever people think and just let them know the truth.  I for one, am not in highschool anymore and could care less if some schmo thinks I’m “uncool” for not thinking what everyone else does.  I have come to the end of my patience of listening to people debate this ridiculous crap anymore.  Either you get it or just keep going bahhhh bahhh

  10. I was not going to vote for the 1st time in my adult life. I didn’t want to give legitimacy to the farce of a free election! If  Dr.Paul runs as an independent I probably will vote.

  11. Idealist Ron Paul stated that if elected he would place radical Democrat Dennis Kucinich in his cabinet — just because they worked a few deals together, and even though Kucinich was a firm anti-gunner.  His supporters say such dealings with Kucinich is merely coalition forming.  But Rand, his son, forming a like coalition with Romney is a no no.  Paul is not as an uncompromising man of principle that his core supporters would like to believe.  A man with great ideas, yes — but still political all the same.

Now Ron Paul is threatening to run as an indpendent and split the vote – jeopardizing even the slim hope that Romney offers, not to mention whatever influence Rand might make as a cabinet member.

I’d rather take a change on Romney than a certain horrendous 4 more years with Obama.

  12. Amen Sergio
I thought more people on this site would get it by now.  Livermore, I hope that Obomney tastes as great come this time next year.

No need to insult Mr. Ferguson.

  14. OMG!  Here we go again.  The last time we had a 3rd party candidate he split the Repub vote and handed the election to Clinton.  What is this, deja vu all over again?  If this happens, it will be One Big Assed Mistake for America, folks.  Another 4 years of this incompetent will just about put the ship of state on the rocks of absolute destruction.  Would it be to late to move to Canada?  :-(

    • OMG! You still cherish the GOP! Are you insane? There is no red team vs blue team. It’s just the same ol’ gang. Being as there are no distinctions left, do you truly believe that the GOP will pull out all stops and turn their world of gravy-boat politics on its head just for you?. When will people get it?

  15. One thing that I must tell you is that all the Americans should vote for Ron Paul if they truly care about their liberties and prosperity. If you Americans don’t care about him, then send him to Canada where there are people that will support him.
