    My youngest child just took a student loan right after he graduated high school this past spring. He didn’t consult me about it. But at least I was able to keep him out of the American part of the NWO military! He was bent on being an Army Ranger. I hope there will be work for him when he finishes. Farming is the future as I see it. Real farming, Food for the local population. But I guess that didn’t sound very exiting to him, lol.

      It is a sad state of national consciousness when many of our young men would rather kill people, then feed them. I was exactly like that when exiting high school. Now I see the big picture and recognize the government propaganda. Now I run a small asphalt sealing business and raise a small flock of chickens. If you aren’t growing or building something, you are a parasite. The Dollar collapse will destroy your job. My advice to him is to get an electrical engineering degree and work on free energy & HHO devices. The natural state of youth is to rebel against the system and breaking the energy monopoly will be the biggest game changer in our current paradigm. If you can produce Food, Fuel, and electricity, Universe will reward you, if you try to take it by force, you’ll be destroyed

      @YouTubeTrucktalk180: When he mentioned collage I suggested taking an online course in mechanical engineering. We need them so badly. That is one career that has a real future anywhere! I would not have been against a military career if the military was really used for the one thing it was meant to do, DEFEND THE LIBERTY OF THE AMERICAN PEOPLE. Instead it is a tool for political monsters, banking mobsters, corporate treasure hunters and tyrants of all stripes. Now it is to be used to put the boot on the throat of the American people. Thank god he chose something other than today’s military and be forced to make a decision, like refuse an order to fire on your own people or be jailed or even worse executed.

    Re the Perth Mint 1 oz bullion coins…these are always issued at a high premium to the spot price. They are also the same price from the mint whether they are Kookaburras, Lunar or Koalas. I am from Perth. It is a pain that they have these premiums because it means the coins can only really be sold as numismatics on ebay to get a decent price. However the lunar snake which was just issued with a maximum of 10 per customer as they are sought after is now offered for sale on some sites at $70. On ebay they are offered at around $60. There is a limited mintage of 300,000 which is also a factor. The Kookaburras have a 1,000,000 mintage.

    Have a look at the buy/sell spread at the Perth Mint! The bottom line is that you buy from the mint and sell to a dealer. I would like to buy coins/rounds at closer to spot as you guys sell on this site – but there is nowhere I know to get them locally and the shipping would push the price up too much (I think).

    I bought a Lunar Series Set some 8 years ago for less than $1000. It is now worth almost 4k. Just for 12 coins. Can’t beat this.

    Wow! They have taken Silver down almost -.30 cents since, I woke up this morning at 4am.  Still 8am and +.39 is not bad. We shall see what happens.

    I am trying to convince my son who is majoring in biology to rethink things and get into farming.  At least he stayed away from business as I offered to teach him all he needs to know on that.  The world is going to starve unless more people start farming.  The US has much land and can grow an abundance of crops.  Let’s hope the youth avoid the typical degrees and refocus on things that are really important to human survival.

    I tend to agree that a college degree is getting towards the level of fiat – not worth the paper it’s printed on.  Faith that a college degree = guaranteed good job is still a strong sentiment in this country.  When I was a kid, all the “bad kids” went to the vocational school.  Since I was “smart” my guidance counselor never even thought to suggest that a vocational path was even a consideration.  Some guidance that was! (Though I am blessed, I do have a good job using my degree).
    My wife and I started a small veggie garden this year and have started canning this summer.  It’s really, really satisfying (like much more so than the work I do at my job – which I really like).  22 jars of pickles from our garden and our CSA farm share now rest in my basement, and this weekend we’re making lots o’ marinara sauce from farm share tomatoes.
    My wife is also into seed saving, and in a couple weeks she and I are both going to take a firearms safety class so we can both get our LTCs.  Next year we plan to expand our garden more.  I am blessed to have a spouse who gets it just as much as I do.
    A fabulous canning / food preservation book called, “Put ‘em Up!” by Sherri Brooks Vinton has been our most excellent guide.

      The true knowledge of deepest importance is never taught in the educational system.  Truth be told, just like most everything else, the educational system was established by the elite bankers to hold people back (to ensure no questions are asked and no one challenges their system of things).  People who go through school are conditioned to think a certain way, and to believe certain things.  It is very hard for people to think and to act independently–it is much easier to conform.
       
      Silver may not reach $500/oz before the current system of things falls apart (ie, fiat ‘money’ fails), but silver will always be of utility and will always be worth something.  That is its nature.

    Actually, most young folks see military service as a way to scam the system out of free college money while never having to serve a day in  a combat zone.  Hence, we have news stories about the whiners in combat zones who never ever intended to end up there.  They just wanted some of the “free money” available from Uncle Sugar.

    We will see $500 only if the government doesn’t step in and stop the price rise to try to preserve the value of their worthless fiat. At that point i think this country is going to be seeing riots in the large cities, food shortages and other problems. Now is the time to head rural and get a small piece of land to at least garden.
